The Japanese company Epson, engaged in the production of copiers, printers, projectors and other electronics, has announced the suspension of activities in Russia and the Republic of Belarus due to the situation in Ukraine.
According to TASS, “Epson stressed that they are following the further development of events with extreme concern and hope that the current situation will be resolved as soon as possible. ”
This is not the first of the businesses that have recently decided to suspend work in Russia for economic or political reasons: online media companies, electronics and office equipment manufacturers, and IT giants report leaving the country. Some companies have already ceased operations in the country.
The consequences of such sanctions are still difficult to predict – if the supply of some goods is not critical for the Russian life support system and can be replaced by alternative options, then similar activity from companies like Intel , AMD and TSMC can seriously affect the quality of life in the country and its security , including informational and economic.
