Elon Musk troubled by workload after buying Twitter

Elon Musk, the world’s richest person, says that after buying the micro-blogging site Twitter, he is struggling with work load seven days a week and from morning to night. Musk is also the chief executive of American electric car maker Tesla. Along with this, he also has a rocket making firm SpaceX.

At a business conference held via a video link during the G20 summit in Bali, Indonesia, Musk was asked about his Twitter deal and the way he leads Tesla. Musk has Told, “I sure have a lot of work.” When asked about the industry’s efforts to move the supply chain out of China and the risk of war between Russia and Ukraine, he replied that he is very busy. He said that he wants Twitter to support longer videos as well as more number of videos so that content creators can earn income from it. However, Musk did not give more details about it. His remarks were streamed live on YouTube.

Tesla’s share price has been falling steadily since Musk bought Twitter. Tesla’s price rally of the last 17 months is coming to an end as investors sold its shares. The stock has declined this year but has rallied since Musk completed the deal to buy Twitter. Musk took over Twitter late last month. Since then, Tesla’s stock has fallen more than 12 percent. Tesla’s sales have been affected by the slowdown, supply chain difficulties and rising raw material costs. Chinese automobile company BYD had the highest number of electric vehicle (EV) sales globally, beating Tesla in the second quarter of the current financial year. It achieved an annual growth of 266 percent by selling around 3,54,000 EVs. Tesla’s sales during this period were around 2,54,000 units.
