The founder of Tesla and SpaceX, Elon Musk, posted a photo on his Twitter page showing more than a dozen Raptor 2 rocket engines. Recall that these engines are designed for the Starship spacecraft, which will eventually go to Mars.

At the beginning of the year, Elon Musk said that Raptor 2 engine runs stable at 300 bar. The new version of the Raptor engine broke the previous record, which was set in 2019. Then the value of 268.9 bar was reached, and the record of the Russian two-component liquid-propellant rocket engine of the closed cycle RD-180 was also broken.
SpaceX intended to launch the Starship rocket on its first orbital test flight in January or February. However, the US Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) did not give permission until December 31, and later the flight did not take place until February 28. Now the first test orbital could take place in May.
