Tesla founder Elon Musk officially confirmed about an hour ago that the largest car company in the world, Tesla, began accepting Dogecoin cryptocurrency as payment for “merch” – various branded products.
According to Coinmarketcap, the Dogecoin rate immediately reacted and went up. The cryptocurrency is currently worth $0.2 and has a market capitalization of $26.45 billion. Over the past 24 hours, the Dogecoin rate has grown by more than 30%.
Last year, Tesla released $50 Cyberwhistle and $1,900 Tesla Cyberquads that were resold for $900 and $17,000 respectively. The company also released several new faceplates for Wall Connector Home Wall Chargers priced at $100.
