Elon Musk promised to add a Steam client to Tesla cars

Tesla CEO Elon Musk has announced another firmware upgrade for branded electric cars. This time we are talking about gaming functions – in his Twitter, the businessman said that the company intends to integrate the client of the most popular digital platform Steam into the on-board system.

According to Musk , Tesla is already working on the possibility of launching the Steam library, and not individual games. Alas, he did not name any dates for the appearance of the innovation, limiting himself to general terms. Nevertheless, the billionaire answered yes to one of his subscribers when asked about the possibility of launching Cyberpunk 2077 on the on-board computer of the Cybertruck pickup truck.

New revisions of Tesla cars are equipped with electronic systems with high-performance hardware, including AMD video chips based on the RDNA 2 architecture. They are comparable in terms of processing power to modern game consoles – this fact even affected the autonomy of some electric car models. Steam representatives have not yet made any statements about the collaboration with the automaker.
