Elon Musk recently shared his views on the potential ban of TikTok in the United States. A bill in the US House of Representatives proposes that ByteDance, the Chinese company that owns TikTok, must sell the app within a few months. Failure to comply could result in TikTok being removed from Apple and Google app stores in the US.
In my opinion, TikTok should not be banned in the USA, even though such a ban may benefit the 𝕏 platform.
Doing so would be contrary to freedom of speech and expression. It is not what America stands for.

In response to this, Musk expressed his concern, stating that such actions would infringe upon freedom of expression. He criticized the bill, emphasizing the importance of preserving free speech rights.
TikTok has also voiced its opposition to the bill, arguing that it would negatively impact the American economy and undermine freedom of expression. A spokesperson for the company highlighted the potential consequences of the ban, suggesting that it could impede the free speech rights of approximately 170 million Americans.
This isn’t the first time Musk has spoken out against the potential ban of TikTok. In a previous statement, he asserted that the issue extends beyond TikTok itself, representing broader concerns about censorship and government control.
