Billionaire entrepreneur Elon Musk said on Thursday that his company SpaceX will be ready to launch the Starship spacecraft in a few weeks.
“SpaceX will be ready to launch Starship in a few weeks, launch timing will be subject to FAA approval,” Elon Musk tweeted.
Elon Musk suggested that the approval of the license would take several weeks, so “the first launch attempt will be towards the end of the third week of April.”
Starship is a fully reusable two-stage super-heavy orbital launch vehicle developed by SpaceX. Musk plans to use the spacecraft to establish permanent bases on the Moon and Mars.
According to the founder and CEO of the company, Elon Musk, the first-ever orbital launch of the huge Starship SpaceX ship could most likely end in failure.
He stated that in Starship SpaceX has about a 50% chance of success on its first flightwhich the billionaire said during an interview at the Morgan Stanley conference: “I’m not saying that he will get into orbit, but I guarantee that it definitely won’t be boring.”
