Electric vehicle company eMotorade targets 300% growth in FY 2022-23

Domestic premium electric bike maker eMotorad announced its grand plan to expand its customer base as well as aim for a 300 per cent growth in FY 2022-23. The indigenous electric vehicle revealed that it has registered a growth of 400 per cent in its revenue while the team has grown by 300 per cent since its launch in 2020. Presently, the company has a dealership network of 170+ dealers across the country, which will see further expansion in this financial year. Recently, eMotorade has increased its manufacturing capacity from its Pune plant to 90,000 e-cycles per year as against earlier 16,000 e-bikes per year with an investment of ₹20 crore.

Kunal Gupta, Co-Founder and CEO, eMotorade said, “We want to be a great team, not just a great team. We are focused on expanding into a larger market in the United States and have recently invested some funds for growth in that direction to strengthen our manufacturing capabilities.”

Aditya Ojha, CMO and Co-Founder, eMotorad, said, “We are fortunate that more than 30 per cent of our hiring is from the references of existing employees. This primarily develops a work environment and a friendly culture at the workplace. This is a result of the ownership that each and every employee of eMotorade has developed has resonated with.

The company also revealed its plans to expand its sales, marketing and operations team, as it seeks to tap the international markets of UAE, Nepal and Japan and strengthen its global presence. eMotorade currently has 170 offline dealers across 65 cities in India and has exported 6,300 units to UAE, Japan and Nepal, apart from selling over 9,000 e-cycles in India since its 2020 launch .
