Talking about EV, some models are brand new while some are versions of existing cars. Electric are avatars. According to the reports, 6 popular SUVs of the country will be converted into electric cars. Auto companies will present these SUV cars with a great range. Let’s know about those 6 SUVs, whose electric version can be launched.
Tata Punch EV: Tata Punch is the second best selling SUV of the company. The electric version of Punch can be launched around the festive season this year. There is a possibility of getting 26kWh and 30.2kWh battery packs. This car will give a potential range of around 300 km on full charge.
Hyundai Creta EV: South Korean auto company may launch the electric version of Hyundai Creta in early 2025. According to the auto website India Car News, its testing has also been done. The 39.2kWh battery pack of the Kona EV can be used in the Creta EV, which has a range of around 450km.

Mahindra XUV700 EV: The electric version of Mahindra’s popular XUV700 SUV could be unveiled in 2024. The upcoming electric SUV will be introduced under the XUV.e sub-brand, which will get a battery pack of up to 80kWh. On full charge, this car will travel 450km under WLTP cycle.
Kia Carens EV: Preparations for the electric avatar of Kia Carens are also going on at a fast pace. Recently it has been seen during road testing in South Korea. In 2025, this upcoming electric MPV can be seen on the roads. Changes will be made to the exterior of the Carens to make the electric version.

Tata Harrier and Safari EV: Tata Motors will also introduce two popular SUVs Harrier and Safari in electric form. We got a glimpse of the Harrier EV at the Auto Expo 2023. On the other hand, the Safari EV has also been spied on the road testing. The upcoming electric SUV will run 400-500km on full charge.
