GM has decided to play a trick on Tesla rivals by placing an unexpected Easter egg in the software of the Hummer EV Edition 1 electric pickup truck released last week.
Users posted a strange icon on the Cybertruck forum in the Hummer EV Edition 1 menu. This icon shows an electric Hummer pulling into a ramp, but if you look closely, you can see that it is actually a Tesla Cybertruck.
It’s worth noting that the Hummer EV Edition 1 and Tesla Cybertruck are not price competitors, with the Hummer EV Edition 1 retailing at $ 110,295 and the Cybertruck supposed to be half that price.
The source recalls that GM made fun of Tesla before. For example, ahead of the launch of the Chevy Bolt EV, GM posted pictures of one of its prototypes driving in front of Tesla’s Palo Alto headquarters.
As for the Cybertruck, the car was presented more than two years ago and was supposed to go on sale, but more recently Elon Musk presented a new version of the pickup and admitted that he was concerned about some structural elements.
