When will Ola bikes arrive?
Bhavish said that Ola’s first electric bike could be launched in 2023. He said that the plan is to launch this bike around Holi next year. He told that after launching the pollution free electric scooter for the Indian market, now he wants to launch the product in the bike segment as well. He said that he can launch electric motorcycles in many segments. As of now, Bhavish has not disclosed at what price this bike will be launched and what will be its range.
According to our estimates, Ola’s first electric bike can be launched to compete with the 125cc commuter bikes. From the statement of Ola Electric CEO Bhavish Aggarwal, it seems that the company is preparing to bring bikes in the performance or sports segment as well.
Ola launches S1 Air scooter
Ola today launched its affordable S1 Air electric scooter. This scooter has been brought at a price of Rs 79,999 (ex-showroom). However, this price is only for bookings till Diwali i.e. October 24. How much is the range?
The company claims that the Ola S1 Air will offer a certified range of Rs 100 on a full charge. However, it has a range of 76 km in real conditions. Its top speed is 90 km/h. The company is using the same design platform used in the S1 and S1 Pro in the S1 Air but the battery and powertrain have been changed.
In Ola S1 Air, the company has given 2.5 kWh battery pack and 4.5 kW motor, due to which its weight is only 99 kg. The company has made it available in a total of 5 colors which include Coral Glam, Neo Mint, Porcelain White, Jet Black and Liquid Silver. Its design is similar to other electric scooters of Ola but the company has made some changes in it.
The biggest change in this has been made in its front suspension. Unlike both the scooters, the Ola S1 Air has a double fork telescopic front suspension. The company is using a single fork telescopic fork in the S1 and S1 Pro.
Will get the update of MoveOS 3
Ola is going to launch update B of MoveOS 3 soon. Ola S1 customers can register for this new update on the company’s website from October 25 and it will be brought through an OTA update in December. After this update, the performance of the scooter will also improve, as well as more than 20 new features are going to be available in it. The update will also include information on Proximity Unlock, Party Mode, Moods and Ola’s Hypercharger network.
