The bus uses a new vehicle design, monocoque stainless steel chassis and composite structure. The EKA E9 gets both front and rear air suspension with ECAS. The width of this bus has been kept at 2,500 mm and it comes with 31+D+ wheelchair (equipped with wheelchair ramp).
In this, space has been provided for the sitting and standing and movement of bus passengers. The low entry/exit steps are ergonomically designed with 650 mm floor height with nailing features. Advanced ergonomics has been used in the driver’s cockpit.
Apart from this, the auto-drive feature, power-assisted and all-in-one central console with tilting and telescopic steering provide a smooth riding experience to the riders and drivers. The EKA E9 gets a smiley front layout, stylish wavy side panels and large mirrors for panoramic views.
According to the information, an electric motor has been used in the EKA E9, which provides maximum power of 200 KW and maximum torque of 2,500 Nm. The EKA E9 comes with an in-house designed vehicle control unit software, with integrated strategy as a feature.
Apart from this, if we look at the features available in the EKA E9 electric bus, then it includes front and rear disc brakes with EBS, CCS2 protocol fast charger, 4 cameras, emergency stop button, fire extinguisher, Automatic Driver Assistance System (ADAS) and many more. .
