Liquid Cooling and Components Company EK announced that pump and reservoir assemblies and pump distributor plates are now available with the latest Xylem D5 and DDC pumps. The transition started a few months ago, and now all EK stock is made up entirely of products with new pumps. In the case of the D5 pump, this means generation G3, not G2, in the case of the DDC pump, version 4.2, not 3.2. Prices for EK products have not changed due to this update. The new pumps are also available as standalone products.
The Xylem D5 G3 PWM pump has an improved PWM driver and black cables, and now uses a SATA connector for power connections instead of a MOLEX connector.
The main differences between the DDC 4.2 PWM pump and DDC 3.2 PWM are the black cable and SATA power connector instead of MOLEX. As with the D5, these changes allow for a cleaner look with less visible cables and connectors. In addition, the 8-bit interface has given way to a 32-bit one, which should improve the accuracy and speed of the electronic part.
The EK-Loop D5 G3 PWM and EK-Loop DDC 4.2 PWM pumps are manufactured in Hungary and are already available for order. They cost 78.9 euros each.
