Edifier introduced an inexpensive gaming headset with 7.1 surround sound

Edifier has released the Hecate G3 wired full-size gaming headset. In addition to its ergonomic design, it is notable for its built-in sound card and relatively affordable price by the standards of similar accessories.

The headphones are equipped with 50 mm drivers (composite diaphragm with titanium coating), as well as an omnidirectional microphone on a flexible boom. The ear pads are filled with memory foam and trimmed with leatherette. According to the manufacturer, this design makes the headset comfortable to use even during long gaming sessions.

The characteristics of the built-in sound card are not reported. The company notes that the accessory supports virtual 7.1-channel sound, and the proprietary Edifier Gaming Center utility allows you to adjust the equalizer, as well as apply voice changes and other effects. You can control the sound using a remote control built into the wire with a microphone mute function.

Edifier Hecate G3 headphones are already on sale in China for $32.
