Ever since Musk has allowed uploading pornographic content on his social media platform X, there has been a flood of SEX videos on the platform. Many people are also criticizing Musk’s decision. Now Musk is bringing a new feature to give users a Porn-Free experience. Let us tell you that recently Elon Musk allowed users to post adult content on X, after which he is facing a lot of criticism. Now in a latest update, Elon Musk has said that he will ensure a porn-free experience for those who do not want to see such content.
User asked Musk a question on X
When an X user asked Musk if he was going to allow porn, “Will there be a function possible that allows us to use X without being exposed to it, like a porn-free mode?”
To this, Musk responded, “It’s a top priority”, as policymakers around the world try to curb the spread of such content on social media.
Another user commented that Musk should “seriously provide a transparent option for those who don’t want to see such ads” in the comment thread. “Just ban it altogether,” another user on X said.
X argues that users should be allowed to create, distribute, and consume content related to sexual topics, provided it is created and distributed with consent. Sexual videos and images created by artificial intelligence (AI) also fall under the new X standard.
Now, it will be interesting to see how Elon Musk’s social media platform X will allow users to get rid of sexual content from their feeds and maintain a balance between clean content.
Musk had made this feature official a few days ago, on which people expressed their concerns. After a lot of hue and cry over the surge in porn content, in the updated new policy, the platform said that users will be able to share adult nudity or sexual content created and distributed with consent.
In May, Musk had also introduced long-form articles, monetisation programme, full-length videos, and several other new features. Now, Musk said that subscribed users can post movies, TV series, or podcasts on the platform and earn money through monetisation.
They had raised concerns over data privacy and criticised WhatsApp for exporting user data every night. One user claimed that WhatsApp exports user data every night, which is analysed and then used to send targeted advertisements to users, essentially turning users into products rather than customers.
