Ducati launched this new bike with a bigger engine than Alto, but the price will blow the senses!
Ducati Streetfighter V4 SP: Maruti Alto gets 796 cc engine while Ducati Streetfighter V4 SP has 1103 cc engine.
Ducati Streetfighter V4 SP Launch: Italian superbike company Ducati has launched Streetfighter V4 SP bike in the Indian market. Its showroom price has been kept at Rs 34.99 lakh. Ducati said in a statement that it has started booking the 1,103 cc capacity superbike through its dealers. Vipul Chandra, Managing Director, Ducati India said, “We are delighted to expand the Streetfighter family in India. The new Streetfighter V4 SP bike is currently the most popular sports bike sold in India.” Talking about the look and design of the Ducati Streetfighter V4 SP bike, the body panel of the bike has matte black color, matte carbon finish on the wings, on the fuel tank. Brushed aluminum shade and few red lines are visible.
The Streetfighter V4 SP is lighter than the Streetfighter V4 S. It weighs 196.5 kg (curb), which is about 2.5 kg less than the Streetfighter V4S. The weight has been reduced by using lighter components. The bike does not get carbon rims, as are the variants in the international market. Instead, the Streetfighter V4 SP gets Marchesini forged magnesium wheels in India. It is 0.9 kg lighter than aluminum wheels. Coming to the engine, the V4 SP is offered with the same 1,103cc, Desmosedici Stradale V4 engine as the V4 S. It generates 208hp power at 13,000rpm and 123Nm of torque at 9,500rpm.
It gets a 9-disc STM EVO-SBK dry clutch, which is said to offer more effective anti-hopping during aggressive downshifts. It is worth noting here that 796 cc engine is available in Maruti Alto, which generates maximum power of 35.3 kW @ 6000 rpm. So it is clear that the engine of Ducati Streetfighter V4 SP is bigger than that of Alto.
