A group of scientists from the USA, Switzerland, Italy, Argentina and Pakistan studied the results of vaccination with Sputnik V, Moderna, AstraZeneca, Pfizer, Sinopharm and Johnson & Johnson.
Scientists have published a number of works in which they noted that during the research they did not find neutralizing activity in plasma vaccinated with the above vaccines. According to them, the plasma of those vaccinated with these drugs does not neutralize the Omicron strain. The same applies to plasma from people who have undergone covid. All vaccines have shown low efficacy.
After the publication of the research results, representatives of the Gamaleya Center expressed doubts about the fidelity of the work done. According to Russian scientists, the authors of the study deliberately used serum samples that are not representative.
As the Sputnik V developers noted, “the study used Sputnik samples with a lower ability to neutralize the virus against SARS-COV-2 than the AstraZeneca vaccine, while a much larger study in Argentina, based on representative serum samples, demonstrated 1.8 times higher virus neutralization titers against SARS-COV-2 for Sputnik.
