Discount up to Rs 1.5 lakh on MG Motor’s Astor, Hector and other cars this month

The Astor and Gloster SUVs can be purchased with a discount of Rs 1 lakh and an exchange benefit of Rs 50,000. Similar benefits are also available for the ZS EV, the company’s first electric vehicle launched in the country. A benefit of Rs 50,000 and an exchange bonus of Rs 50,000 is being given for Hector, the company’s best selling model in the country. A discount of Rs 65,000 is being given on Comet EV, which was introduced a few months ago.

However, the company has not told by how much the prices will be increased. Earlier, Maruti Suzuki, Honda Cars and Tata Motors had also informed about increasing the prices of vehicles from the beginning of next year. The company’s most popular SUV Hector competes with Hyundai’s Creta, Kia’s Seltos and Maruti Suzuki’s Grand Vitara.

At this year’s Auto Expo, MG Motor relaunched Hector and Hector Plus with a new front design. It has a 14-inch touchscreen infotainment system and ADAS Level 2 technology. However, there was no change in its engine. Hector is available with 1.5 liter petrol, 1.5 liter petrol hybrid and 2.0 liter diesel engine. It has six speed manual and automatic gearbox options. The sales of the company’s ZS EV are also increasing rapidly. Its Comet EV is the most affordable electric car sold in the country. Its starting price is Rs 7.98 lakh (ex-showroom). Last week, JSW Group had announced the purchase of 35 percent stake in the country’s unit of MG Motor. This stake has been purchased from China’s SAIC, which controls the company. However, the value of this deal has not been disclosed.
