Ola Electric, one of the big electric two-wheeler companies, has reduced the price of S1 X+ electric scooter by Rs 20,000. Its actual price is Rs 1,09,999 (ex-showroom). This discount is available for December only. Its price after discount will be Rs 89,999 (ex-showroom).
Anshul Khandelwal, Chief Marketing Officer of the company, said, “Ola Electric has set a new benchmark in the industry with sales of 30,000 units in November. Ola Electric claims that the S1X+ has a range of 151 kilometers and a top speed of 90 kmph. It can reach a speed of 0-40 kmph in just 3.3 seconds. It has 34 liters of space to keep luggage. It has been made available in multi-tone design. Its lower part is finished in black color and the rest of the scooter is finished in a different color. It has a circular mirror and a new display. Instead of alloy wheels, steel rims have been used in this electric scooter. It has telescopic forks at the front and twin shock absorbers at the rear.
In the first 10 months of this year, Ola Electric has grown by more than 100 percent. The company is preparing to launch Initial Public Offering (IPO) soon. It plans to raise up to $700 million from stock market listing. Big investors like Singapore’s Temasek and Japan’s SoftBank have stake in the company. Recently it had secured new funding and for this Ola Electric was valued at $ 5.4 billion. Ola Electric It started selling electric scooters two years ago and has reached the first position in this market with about 40 percent share. The company also plans to launch electric motorcycles and electric cars. Sales of electric scooters have increased rapidly in the last few years.
