Despite the wave of Corona, a record 1.67 lakh new companies were registered in 2021-22

New Companies Registration: Despite being affected by the second and third wave of Corona epidemic, there has been a boom in the registration of new companies in the financial year 2021-22. According to the Ministry of Corporate Affairs, 1.67 lakh new companies have been registered in 2021-22. Whereas in 2020-21 less than 1.55 lakh new companies were registered.

According to the Ministry of Corporate Affairs, the maximum number of new companies were registered in 2020-21. Which was a record. But in 2021-22, 8 percent more new companies have been registered than that. At the same time, 1.24 lakh new companies were registered in 2018-19 and 1.22 lakh new companies were registered in 2019-20.

According to the ministry, under the Ease of Doing Business drive of the Central Government, the Ministry of Corporate Affairs has taken several steps to facilitate ease of doing business in India.

If we look at the state-wise numbers, Maharashtra has the highest number of registrations of 31,107 new companies. After that comes the number of Uttar Pradesh where 16,969 new companies have been registered. 16,323 new companies have been registered in Delhi, 13,403 in Karnataka and 11,020 in Tamil Nadu.

44,168 companies have been registered for the highest number of business services. After which comes the turn of manufacturing, for which 34,640 new companies have been registered. 23,416 companies have been registered for community, personal, social service. 13,387 new companies have been registered for agriculture and allied services.
