Like expected, Irix introduced a lens for filming. It is designed for full-frame cameras and will be available in seven different mounting options.
The optical design of the Irix Cine 21mm T1.5 has fifteen elements in eleven groups, including four extra-low dispersion glass elements, four high refractive index elements and two aspherical elements. The aperture ring rotates without clicking. It rotates 75° and the focus ring rotates 180°. Both rings are serrated (Mod 0.8 M) to ensure compatibility with most accessories available on the market.
