Demand for subsidy on CNG, auto, taxi driver unions threaten to go on strike from April 18

Auto Taxi Driver On Strike: Auto, taxi and cab driver associations of the capital have threatened to go on strike from April 18 to pressurize the Delhi government to demand subsidy on CNG after the hike in CNG prices.

Delhi Auto Rickshaw Association general secretary Rajendra Soni said that their protest against the policies of the Center and Delhi government will continue and they will go on strike from April 18. He said that the price of CNG is increasing every day and we are demanding from the government to give a subsidy of Rs 35 per kg. It is worth noting that on April 11, hundreds of auto, taxi and cab drivers staged a sit-in at the Delhi Secretariat demanding subsidy on CNG prices.

Rajendra Soni alleged that in the last seven years, the Delhi Government never called a meeting of the members of the Auto-Rickshaw Association. The Auto and Taxi Association of Delhi had written a letter to Chief Minister Kejriwal on April 6, demanding a subsidy of Rs 35 per kg on CNG.

CNG price in the capital Delhi 2.5 per kg has been increased. At present, the new price of CNG in Delhi is Rs 71.61 per kg. Let us tell you that due to the increase in the prices of natural gas, CNG has become expensive by about 60 percent in six months. After which Uber Ola has made the fare expensive by about 12 percent.
