Kia launched its first electric car EV6 in the Indian market in June this year. Only 100 units of the EV6 were made available to India for the year 2022 only.
Due to high demand, the company later imported another 100 units. The ARAI-certified range of the Kia EV6 was not the first, but now it has been revealed almost 5 months later. According to which the Kia EV6 gets a range of up to 708 km on a single charge.
The Kia EV6 is offered in five color options, including Snow White Pearl, Runway Red, Aurora Black Pearl, Yacht Blue and Moonscape.
Kia EV6: range and battery
The Kia EV6 gets a single 77.4 kWh battery pack. Globally, the electric crossover has a WLTP-certified range of 528 km per charge. However, the India-spec model has now been ARAI tested and is claimed to offer a range of up to 708 km on a single charge.
Kia EV6: Performance and charging time
Kia is offering the EV6 in two variants. Its rear wheel drive (RWD) variant has a single motor, which generates 229 bhp and 350 Nm of torque. The All Wheel Drive (AWD) variant, on the other hand, gets a dual motor set-up that produces 325 Bhp and 605 Nm of peak torque. Also, it can be charged from 10 to 80% in 73 minutes with a 50 kW DC fast charger.
Kia EV6: price
The Kia EV6 is priced in India at Rs 59.95 lakh and Rs 64.95 lakh, ex-showroom, for the RWD and AWD variants respectively. The Mini Cooper SE rivals the Volvo XC40 Recharge.
Luxurious and awesome interior
The interiors of the Kia EV6 are luxurious and futuristic. The material used in this is mostly recycled products. It has ample leg space for all the passengers. Also good boot space is available. The front seats go into recliner mode at the press of a button.
