India biggest data theft: BharatPe co-founder Ashneer Grover made another big claim and made serious allegations. Ashneer Grover made a serious allegation on Bhavik Koladiya, the founder of Bharat Pay, saying that Bhavik has committed the biggest data theft in India so far. According to Ashneer Grover, Bhavik Koladia has stolen personal data of more than 150 million users of the Unified Payments Interface (UPI) app.
Ashneer Grover wrote in an email to the National Payments Council of India (NPCI) alleging that it was a serious mistake to give him the opportunity of redemption in Bharte Pay.” He said that Koladia was convicted in the US for credit card fraud. Coladia was put under house arrest in America for 18 months and later deported to India.
‘Attempted to travel on forged ticket’
Ashneer Grover said in his email that an FIR has been lodged against Koladia at the Delhi airport, as he attempted to travel to Gujarat on a forged ticket. Ashneer Grover also submitted the copy of the FIR and the documents related to the sentence. On the other hand, Koladia has rejected all the allegations leveled against him.
What did Bhavik Koladia say
Bhavik Koladia has denied the “baseless and false allegations” leveled against him. He informed Moneycontrol, “These allegations are out of vendetta and frustration over an ongoing case against me and him in the Delhi High Court”. Grover made another allegation that in 2021, while being an employee of BharatPe, Koladia had started a business named Oatplace Solutions Private Limited in the name of his wife.
Grover said that under the leadership of the current management of BharatPe, Chairman and former head of State Bank of India (SBI) Rajnish Kumar, informers are being silenced.
