DA Hike Latest News: First government employees in elections, dearness allowance increased by 5 percent!

DA Hike News Update: One after the other, the state governments are announcing to increase the dearness allowance. And in this episode, the BJP government of Tripura has given a big gift to the government employees of the state. State Chief Minister Manik Saha has approved to increase Dearness Allowance by 5 percent which has come into effect on July 1, 2022. State Minister Sushanta Chaudhary has given information about this decision. In fact, the assembly elections are to be held in Tripura in the month of March next year, in such a situation, the state government has taken this decision to woo the government employees.

The state cabinet has approved an increase in dearness allowance by 5 percent. This decision of the government will put a burden of Rs 523.80 crore on the state exchequer. A total of 1,88,494 people will be benefited by this decision of the government, which includes 80,855 pensioners besides 1,04,683 existing employees. With this, DA to government employees in Tripura has increased from 3 per cent to 8 per cent. However, let us tell you that the central government gives 34 percent dearness allowance to its employees.

Earlier, the BJP government led by Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan had also increased the dearness allowance of state government employees from 31 per cent to 34 per cent. While this will benefit 7.5 lakh employees of the state, there will be an additional burden of Rs 625 crore on the state exchequer.

However, it is believed that in the next few days, the dearness allowance of central employees can also be increased from 34 percent to 38 to 39 percent. The Modi government can soon take a decision on increasing the dearness allowance.
