Shailesh Chandra, Managing Director, Tata Motors, said, “We are thrilled with the response to the Tiago EV across our dealerships and website. We are sorry for the inconvenience caused to the customers.”
The price of this new electric car of the company is around Rs 8.49 lakh (ex-showroom). The Tiago EV gets two lithium-ion battery packs and two charging options. It is powered by a 19.2kWh battery that claims a 250km MIDC range. It has 24kWh of battery Given which gives 315km MIDC range. This is 9km more than the ARAI certified range of the Tigor EV. In this, multi mode regions are available with 4 levels. Tata’s first electric hatchback is below the Tigor EV in the brand’s line-up. This EV will be available in 4 trims XE, XT, XZ+ and XZ+ Tech Lux.
It is based on Tata’s Ziptron high-voltage architecture that uses a permanent magnet synchronous electric motor. It makes 74hp and 114Nm with 24kWh battery and 61hp and 110Nm in variants with 19.2kWh battery. The company expects a large number of sales of this low-priced electric car.
