Customers have to wait a long time to take delivery of the car, Maruti’s 3.5 lakh cars are pending

Maruti Suzuki being a big car manufacturer delivers the maximum number of cars every year, but this year Maruti is also facing difficulties. The situation is that out of 6.5 lakh cars waiting for delivery, 3.4 lakh cars are from Maruti Suzuki only.

On the other hand, domestic automaker Tata Motors is delivering cars with a delay of one to three months after arranging the necessary equipment for its cars through alternate supply routes.

On the other hand, Mahindra’s cars have the highest waiting period, which has reached 24 months. Customers booking Mahindra XUV700 are being given a waiting period of 24 months.

Along with petrol and diesel cars, the waiting period on electric cars is also increasing continuously. Tata Motors, a leading manufacturer of electric cars, is taking four to six months to deliver its electric cars.

Japanese carmaker Honda is also facing a backlog of cars. The company has recently launched the City Hybrid sedan. But customers have to wait for 2 to 9 months for its delivery. A waiting period of 9 months has been given to the customers making new bookings for the City Hybrid sedan.

Chip shortage added to the problem

Semiconductor production was badly affected due to the Corona epidemic, due to which there was a huge shortage of chips for electronic components in the auto market. Apart from this, due to the increase in sales of cars after the epidemic, the pressure on semiconductor makers to increase production has also increased.

Several companies, including Vedanta and Tata, have shown their interest to start semiconductor production.
