Sales of the Chinese sedan Kaiyi E5, produced at the Avtotor Kaliningrad plant, will begin before the end of this week, as reported by TASS with reference to the press service of the Rolf company. This car will compete with Lada Vesta NG.
The company “Rolf” has become the official dealer of the Chinese brand Kaiyi in Moscow. <…> The first model to go on sale this week is the Kaiyi E5 sports sedan. Its production was launched at the Avtotor Kaliningrad plant at the end of January 2023.

Serial production of the Chinese Kaiyi E5 sedan (“Kai E5”) began at the Avtotor Kaliningrad plant on January 30. It is known that the car will be available in several trim levels. The E5 is a C-class sedan. Its length is 4666 mm, width – 1825 mm, height – 1483 mm with a wheelbase of 2700 mm.
The car is equipped with a 1.5-liter turbocharged engine with a capacity of 156 hp. and CVT or manual transmission. In addition, the equipment includes six airbags, voice control, a multimedia system with a “floating” touchscreen with a diagonal of 12.4 inches, all-round cameras and heated seats.
Cars of the brand will be in demand among Russian consumers, as they are comparable in terms of characteristics with models that have left our market. At the same time, they do not concede to them at all in quality.
