Company’s special gift to the employees, the company will pay half the price on the purchase of electric vehicle

Vedanta Limited has come up with a special scheme for its company. Under this, if an employee of his company buys an electric four-wheeler and two-wheeler, then the company will pay 30% to 50% of the cost of the vehicle.

This has been started by the company as part of its EV policy which will be applicable to the employees of all its locations. As part of its commitment to net-zero carbon, Vedanta has pledged to decarbonise 100% of its light motor vehicles by 2030.

This EV policy will be applicable for the purchases made from December 2022 for the employees of the company. The company says that transportation accounts for more than 12% of global GHG emissions.

Speaking on the initiative, Mr. Sunil Duggal, Group CEO, Vedanta Ltd. said, “In line with our people first philosophy, and integrating ESG practices in everything we do, we are excited to introduce our new EV to our employees. Happy to announce the policy.
