CNG vs Petrol-Diesel vs E-Cars: Like petrol-diesel, CNG prices are on fire, yet it is a better option, even e-car is not in competition, know why?

CNG vs Petrol-Diesel vs E-Cars: Like petrol-diesel, the prices of CNG are also jumping but it is still a better option and taking CNG car remains more beneficial than e-car.

CNG vs Petrol-Diesel vs E-Cars: Traveling has become very expensive due to expensive oil. Talking about the capital Delhi, today (14 April 2022) the price of petrol per liter is Rs 105.41 and diesel is Rs 96.67 per liter. However, not only petrol and diesel but CNG is also getting expensive and in the capital Delhi it is being sold at a price of Rs 71.61 per kg. This means that the prices of CNG are also jumping high, but despite this, it is the best alternative to petrol and diesel. The biggest reason for this is that even after increasing the prices, its prices are less than petrol-diesel and the mileage of the vehicle is also high. Apart from this, there are other reasons due to which it is a better option.

That’s why CNG car is better than petrol-diesel one

  • Even after increasing the prices of CNG, they are much less than petrol and diesel. Talking about the capital Delhi, according to today’s price, it is Rs 33.8 cheaper than petrol and Rs 25.06 cheaper than diesel.
  • Mileage in CNG is 40-50 percent more than that of petrol. As for the Maruti S-Presso, the petrol variant (both manual and automatic transmission) has a mileage of 21.7 kmpl while the CNG manual transmission variant has a mileage of 31.2 kmpl. Thus, the cost per km of a CNG car comes down by combining the lower cost of CNG and higher mileage of the CNG car as compared to petrol-diesel.
  • Pollution from CNG is much less than that of petrol diesel.
  • The legal validity of a CNG vehicle is longer (15 years) as compared to a diesel car.

How CNG is better than e-car

  • A CNG car is cheaper than an e-car. The cost of retro-fitment comes down even further.
  • The availability of CNG is less than that of petrol and diesel, but it is more in comparison to the facility of recharging the battery.
  • CNG vehicles can also be run on petrol or diesel if needed. But if the battery runs out in the e-car, then there is no other option.
