CNG Cars: The adoption of CNG cars in India is increasing, with this alternative fuel option now available in expensive cars, including premium hatchbacks and SUVs. Today’s CNG cars are equipped with many advanced features, including a touchscreen system, automatic AC, and sunroof. In this regard, we have compiled a list of four CNG cars that come with a single-pane sunroof.
Tata Altroz CNG: Tata Altroz, the only premium hatchback in this list, received the option of a CNG powertrain in May 2023. Along with the CNG powertrain, the Altroz also offers a single-pane sunroof, available in the mid-spec XM+ (S) trim, starting at Rs 8.85 lakh. The Altroz CNG features twin-cylinder technology, providing a boot space of 210 liters. Powered by a 1.2-liter 3-cylinder petrol-CNG engine, the car generates 73.5 PS and 103 Nm of output in CNG mode, available only with a 5-speed manual transmission.
Tata Punch CNG: Similar to the Altroz, the Tata Punch also comes with a sunroof since the introduction of the CNG powertrain. However, the Sunroof Punch is available only up to the CNG Accomplished Dazzle S variant, priced at Rs 9.68 lakh. Features such as a 7-inch touchscreen, push-button start/stop, and automatic AC are available in the Punch CNG. Safety features include dual front airbags, ABS with EBD, and cornering stability control.
Hyundai Exeter CNG: The CNG powertrain option is available with the Hyundai Exeter from its launch. The SX CNG variant of the Exeter comes with a single-pane sunroof, priced at Rs 9.06 lakh. This variant of the Hyundai Exeter features an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system, automatic AC, and safety features such as 6 airbags, electronic stability control, and a rear parking camera.
Maruti Brezza CNG: Maruti Brezza is the only subcompact SUV in India to come with a CNG powertrain and a single-pane sunroof. It is available in its second top ZXi CNG variant, with an ex-showroom price of Rs 12 lakh. Maruti has equipped the Brezza CNG with features such as a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, a 6-speaker ARKAMYS sound system, and automatic AC.
