Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath inspected the Mahakumbh area of Prayagraj on Thursday. During this, he took stock of the preparations going on in the final phase and also met the saints and sages. CM Yogi said that Mahakumbh is being organized after 12 years and auspicious time has come after 144 years.
While talking to the media, he said, ‘This is a matter of good fortune for the entire generation. Vedas say that where the entire world seems gathered in the form of a nest. Saw during my two months living in Prayagraj. I reached here at 2 o’clock and from then till 6:30 o’clock, I went to meet in Akharas and other sectors only for a formal dialogue, to get information about the arrangements. It took me 4:30 hours to visit only two sectors. Everyone is moving towards Mahakumbh.

CM Yogi said, ‘Central and state governments have made arrangements, PM Modi himself has come here and seen things. Thanks to PM Modi for getting the infra for Prayagraj. People also got the opportunity during the 2019 Kumbh in Prayagraj. This time, double the amount of work that was done then is being done this time in the Mahakumbh of 2025. The Kumbh area has been cleaned. In 2025, a better system is being seen than ever before.
Chief Minister Yogi said, ‘Similarly, the number of sectors has been increased. Efforts have been made that those who come to the Kumbh area with their own means to take bath do not face any problem, hence the Transport Department has deployed more than 500 buses. Electric buses and e-rickshaws have also been installed. Separate arrangements have been made for parking. The responsibility of operating it systematically has also been done. There are 6 major baths, 3 now Shahi Snan which is now Amrit Snan made by saints is important. 8 to 10 crore devotees will come here on the day of Mauni Amavasya. 5 to 6 crores will come in Basant Panchami. People are going to come in large numbers on Makar Sankranti also.
Special arrangements have been made for Kumbh
Railways has started more than 3 thousand special trains for Mahakumbh. 14 new flights have been added for Prayag. More than 8 thousand transport buses have been installed. A waiting lodge has been kept at the railway station where devotees can stay if there is a crowd. It will be possible to know digitally which service is being started and when. Adequate CCTV camera coverage has also been provided. Preparations are being made to ensure that devotees around the world do not face any problems with the organization of the entire Kumbh.
Be it by involving parties associated with the government or by involving various institutions at the local level, it is being taken forward. 13 Akharas have been established, all are being operated systematically here. Kalpavasi will also remain here, by tomorrow these people will also enter the fair area.
