Speaking at the 42nd Maralui Karlimai Swijoikang (MKS) General Conference held at Maram area of ​​Senapati district, the Chief Minister declared that a third party was needed to resolve the current problems and restore peace. He said, “Church and community leaders must now take responsibility so that peace can be established in the state.”

Biren Singh further said that the Manipur government is fully committed to solving the problems under the Constitution and rules. He said, “Whatever has happened, are old things. Now is the time to forget the past mistakes and return to the path of peace. There is a need for unity and collective efforts of all the residents of the state. The Chief Minister said that the government They are ready to take every necessary step to maintain peace and they need the support of the community.

Chief Minister gave the example of the controversy of the 90s

Citing the example of the Kuki and Naga conflicts of the 90s, the Chief Minister said that even at that time efforts were made to find a solution, and now once again he expects the support of the Naga leaders and the community. Biren Singh requested the community to reach some conclusion on peace efforts.

The Chief Minister mentioned the abnormal increase in population in some constituencies and said that it needs attention. He also stressed that the government is not against any community and all steps are being taken for the safety of the youth and local communities of the state. The government aims to maintain the numbers of local communities through identification of illegal immigrants. Biren Singh appealed to the community not to misunderstand his intentions and to restore peace through mutual cooperation.
