Citroen Growth: French automobile company Citroen has registered an annual growth of 18.25% in September, due to which Citroen has left behind 13 companies like Maruti, Hyundai, Tata, Mahindra in terms of growth. However, Citroen lags far behind in terms of unit volume. Citroen does not even have 1% market share of the Indian market yet. Citroen has sold 1,386 units in the last month i.e. September, which is also a monthly growth of 63% compared to August 2022. The company sells the C5 Aircross and C3 in India. The company has benefited a lot from the recently launched Citroen C3. It is getting better response from the customers. Citroen C3 price starts at Rs 5.88 Lakh (Ex-showroom). After the price hike, the price range of Citroen C3 has gone up from Rs 5.88 lakh to Rs 8.15 lakh (ex-showroom). Prices of its base variants – live and mid variants – feel have been increased by Rs 17,000 while the price of the top-spec variant with turbo petrol engine has been increased by Rs 9,000.
Engine Options of Citroen C3
The Citroen C3 is offered with two engine options, which are 1.2L turbo-petrol and 1.2L naturally aspirated petrol. The turbo-petrol engine model generates 110hp power and 190Nm torque while the naturally aspirated petrol model generates 82hp power and 115Nm torque. It only gets a manual gearbox, no automatic gearbox is offered. The car comes with 5-speed and 6-speed manual transmissions.
