Chinese aviation lessor China Aviation Supplies Holding Company (CASC) on Friday signed a framework agreement with Airbus to buy 140 aircraft. The holding announced this on its page on the WeChat social network.
As specified in the statement, the cost of the order is $ 17 billion. The conclusion of the agreements was timed to coincide with the visit of German Chancellor Olaf Scholz to China.
CASC plans to purchase 132 A320s and eight A350s from Airbus. “Due to the gradual recovery of the Chinese air transportation market, we expect its dynamic and sustainable growth in the future. This batch of aircraft was purchased taking into account market development trends in order to satisfy the demand of companies for air carriers,” the holding commented.
