China started selling its fighters at a loss for the sake of global popularity

As noted by reporters, the offer of such a discount shows that China is ready to incur losses by offering a cheaper plane than Tejas. The cost was reduced as part of a tender held by Malaysia. The country’s Air Force (Air Force) wants to buy 18 aircraft in the FLIT LCA class (“training aircraft – light fighter”).

The JF-17 Block III is priced at $ 39.9 million at a 30 percent discount. But the cost of Tejas-Mk1A is $ 41.5 million. It is noted that China demonstrates: it is ready to give up any profit and incur losses, just to take away the Malaysian tender.
