China demanded to turn off hints in Internet search For seven days

Of the foreign search engines in China, only Microsoft Bing is available. Today, she revealed that Chinese authorities have required her to suspend autocomplete searches for seven days.
The suspension is the second of its kind for Bing since December and comes amid continued pressure on tech platforms in Beijing. The reason for the new ban was not specified.

Microsoft itself released only this statement: “Bing is a global search platform and remains committed to upholding the rule of law and the right of users to access information.”

Reuters recalls that Internet companies in China have suffered from regulatory measures over the past year that have imposed new restrictions on various areas. In August, Chinese authorities released draft rules defining how Internet platforms can and cannot use algorithms.
