It is an electric car with an initial price of Rs 4.79 lakh ( X-showroom ), making it the cheapest electric car in the personal mobility vehicle segment in India. However, this is not a fully passenger car. This can be called quadricycle.
The company has started taking pre-orders for PMV Electric EaS-E. Any customer can book it for just Rs 2,000. PMV says it has received more than 6,000 pre-orders from India and international markets. The Eas-E will be manufactured at the company’s Pune plant. PMV aims to start delivery by mid-2023. It is also being given a warranty of 3 years / 50,000 km.
This microcar is a two-seater quadricycle, with a seat for the driver only. There is a passenger seat behind it. However, despite this, PMV EAS-E has four doors, giving two people the option to enter from both sides. PMV will get 48V lithium-iron-phosphate batteries in the Eas-E. PMV claims that the Eas-E can be charged in less than four hours.
This microcar will get three range options, which are 120km, 160km and 200 km. The PMV says that the cost of running EAS-E will be less than 75 paise per km. It will get IP67-rated motor. Its motor can deliver output of 13hp and 50Nm. This will be front wheel drive. PMV claims that the Eas-E can achieve speeds of 0-40kph in less than 5 seconds. Its top speed will be 70kph.
