It took 7 years for the Internet itself i.e. the World Wide Web to achieve its 100 million (100 million) users. Whereas telephone reached 100 million people in 75 years and mobile phone in 16 years.
Talk about social media platforms, it took 4.5 years for Facebook to add 100 million users to its platform. Whereas Twitter had achieved the same number of users in 5 years. The same number of users were connected on Instagram in 2.5 years. The world’s most popular messaging app WhatsApp had 100 million users in 3.5 years.
At the same time, it took 6.5 years for Apple iTunes to add 100 million users, while so many users were connected to Apple Store in 2 years. The surprising thing is that 100 million users of Artificial Intelligent (AI) chatbots like ChatGPT were created in just 2 months. Internet played a big role in increasing the popularity of ChatGPT, so that now every internet user can access ChatGPT on their device.
