Startup Minimal has launched a crowdfunding campaign to release Minimal Phone , a gadget with an E-Ink screen and a QWERTY keyboard. The developers have published detailed technical characteristics of the future new product, and also revealed its price and start date of sales.
The gadget will be equipped with a 3.5-inch E-Ink touch screen with a pixel density of 300 ppi. The MediaTek MTK 6769 processor in combination with 4 GB of RAM will be responsible for its performance, the storage capacity will be 128 GB. The resolution of the main camera of the device will be 16 megapixels, the front one will be 8 megapixels.
The set of Minimal Phone interfaces will include Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and NFC modules, as well as a USB Type-C port. The 4000 mAh battery will support 20-watt fast charging technology, as well as wireless accessories. In addition, a side-mounted fingerprint scanner and a classic 3.5 mm audio jack are announced.
The price of the new product at the pre-order stage starts at $350, the start of sales is scheduled for August of this year.
