After several large companies reported rejection from participating in offline part of CES 2022, which will take place next week, its organizers decided to close the event a day earlier.
The Consumer Technology Association (CTA), which is hosting the exhibition, announced that CES 2022 will not be held from January 5 to 8, as previously planned, but from January 5 to 7. The organizers call this an extra security measure. Note that the exhibition with the participation of visitors will be preceded by events organized only for the media, which will be held on January 3 and 4. On these days, the exhibitors will make keynote speeches and hold press conferences.
Safety measures taken at the show include vaccination requirements, wearing masks, and the availability of COVID-19 tests. CTA asked exhibitors to take a quick test 24 hours before entering the CES venue. If someone notices symptoms of the disease already during the exhibition, he is recommended to contact the first aid center for testing.
According to CTA estimates, more than 2,200 companies will take part in the exhibition. The number of participants has reportedly increased by 143 in the past two weeks alone.
