CBSE Fraud Alert: CBSE students be careful, there is a fraud alert for you

CBSE Fraud Alert: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has issued an important fraud alert for students and parents. In a message posted on its official Twitter account CBSEHQ @cbseindia29, CBSE has warned everyone about a fake website.

“It is informed in public interest that the website ‘https:cbsegovt.com/’ is not the official website of CBSE and is a fraud. The public is cautioned not to interact with this website and not make any payment CBSE is taking strict action on the matter,” says the tweet. Like most of the CBSE tweets, this tweet is also in both Hindi and English. The tweet tagged Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, the Ministry of Education and All India Radio, among others. The fake website ‘https:cbsegovt.com/’ is currently showing a PHP and database error.

What has been said in the advisory of CBSE

“The board said that the scammers have created a website that looks like the official CBSE website www.cbse.gov.in. This fake website has been created from the address https://cbsegovt.com/ and is CBSE Class 10 and 12, cheating unsuspecting students, schools and parents by sending messages asking them to deposit money for making and downloading admit cards for 2023 exams.” the board said in an advisory. The advisory asked parents and students to “be extremely careful and not respond to any such fake messages and websites”. The board does not charge any fee directly from any student or parent for downloading the admit card.

Do not pay attention to fake news

Because both students and parents are eagerly waiting for the announcement of the date sheet for class 10th and 12th. Class 12 and Class 10 CBSE exams are expected to begin at their regular time (end of February or beginning of March this year) after two years of the pandemic when the schedule was halted.
Earlier this month, CBSE issued a statement regarding fake datesheets for Class 12 and Class 10 CBSE exams going viral on social media websites.
