Indus Motor Company (IMC), which assembles and sells Toyota-brand vehicles in Pakistan, increased the prices of its cars twice in January 2023. The company increased the price of the vehicles by about Rs 11.5 lakh. This increased the prices of the Fortuner range the most. The price of Fortuner Legender (Diesel) has increased by Rs 1.16 million (around Rs 11.6 lakh). Now it has become Rs 17.07 million (about Rs 1.7 crore).
According to the report of Dawn (Pakistani newspaper), Pakistan Suzuki Motor Company Limited (PSMCL) has announced an increase in the prices of motorcycles from 20,000 to 25,000 rupees from 1 February. Currently, new bookings for the company’s bikes have been closed from January 20. According to Business Recorder, Pak Suzuki’s Wagon R has also become costlier, seeing a jump in its price from Rs 2,08,000 to Rs 257,000. With this, it has now become Rs 26.29 lakh.
According to some media reports, Honda Atlas, which sells both cars and bikes in Pakistan, has also increased the prices of its vehicles. The brand’s CB125 (super spender looking bike sold in India) has been priced at Rs 2.83 lakh.
