Honda registered a growth of 9.5 per cent in sales on a month-on-month basis. The company sold 8,714 cars in the domestic market in September 2022. According to Honda Car India, its export numbers for October 2022 were 1,678 units, while in October 2021, it has exported 1,747 units.
Speaking on the October 2022 sales performance, Yuichi Murata, Director, Marketing and Sales, Honda Cars India Limited said, “This festive season has been remarkable for us as we registered an 18% growth in our domestic sales in October. Our dealer network has been buzzing with activity during this period, witnessing strong demand for all our Honda models.”
He further added, “Owing to the popularity of the sedan Honda Amaze among our customers for festive purchases, the model achieved the No. 1 sales lead in our line-up. Improvements in the supply chain have also benefited from Honda in the quarter. India’s favorite sedan is also celebrating 25 years of successful business of Honda City.”
Let us tell you that in view of the festive season, the company had introduced many discount offers last month. In which it had given offers up to Rs 39,000 on its select range of cars. These offers were given in the form of cash discount, exchange bonus, corporate discount and free accessories.
Apart from this, the company also started a scheme named ‘Drive in 2022, Pay in 2023’. In this, customers could buy any variant of Honda Amaze and Honda City without paying any installment. The installment of which they will have to pay from 2023. The company has partnered with Kotak Mahindra Prime Limited (KMPL) for this.
Although the company is preparing to bring a new SUV soon. The company has recently announced the launch of a new SUV in the Indonesian market. The company has also shared a teaser of this SUV, in which the company has named this car as RS. It is being told in the reports that this Honda concept car which could be an updated model of WR-V.
The company has also revealed the design of this car a few months ago, according to which this car has been given slim LED headlight, LED fog lamps and big front bumper. This SUV comes with vertical tail lights and turn indicators are also provided on its ORVMs. Roof rail has also been given in Honda’s new SUV. Honda is going to present this SUV with its sensing technology.
According to the report, Honda will first launch this SUV in the markets of South East Asia. However, there is little hope that this Honda SUV will be launched in India as well. If Honda’s new SUV is launched in India, then it will compete with Maruti Brezza, Hyundai Venue, Kia Sonnet and Nissan Magnite.
