Car Safety: Government has made such a plan regarding seal belt in vehicles

Modi Government Draft: M and N categories include all those vehicles, which have at least 4 wheels and which are used for both passenger and freight work. This will include everything from basic to high end vehicles.

Government Draft On Car Safety: After the death of former Tata Group chairman Cyrus Mistry in a road accident, the matter of car safety has been in the news a lot and there has been a demand that the government should take some more steps related to car safety. should be raised. Now in this episode, the Central Government has prepared a draft, in which it has been said to make Seat Belt Alarm mandatory. This will make vehicles and rides more secure. Audio and video warnings will be available for not wearing seat belts. This draft has been prepared by the Ministry of Transport. The ministry has sought suggestions and objections on this by October 5.

What does the draft say?

Over speed alarm will also be mandatory.
– Manual over ride for central lock.
Child lock will not be allowed in M1 category vehicles.
Belt will be mandatory for all front facing seats.
– Alarm will sound at three levels.
Video warning will be given when the engine of the car is started.
Audio-video warning will be available if the vehicle is running without a belt.
– Even if someone opens the belt during the journey, the alarm will continue to sound.
– Reverse alarm will be mandatory i.e. during reversing the alarm will sound.

What is M, N category?

The M and N categories include all those vehicles, which have at least 4 wheels and are used for both passenger and freight purposes. This will include everything from basic to high end vehicles. All these categories of vehicles have front facing seats.

Difficult to avoid the alarm of not wearing a seat belt!

In the draft, special arrangements have also been made to stop the jugaad (device that can be used to stop the alarm) used to avoid the alarm of the seat belt. It will be mandatory for the seat belt to be stretched by at least 10 mm, this will prevent many types of warning products in the lock.
