So, Totolyan noted that at the moment the omicron appeared, Russians began to cope with coronavirus infection more easily – to get sick in a milder form. Among other things, he suggested that the omicron may well replace the previous delta strain.
He recalled how the northwestern strain disappeared at one time.
“It was “eaten” by the delta. WHO announced that this strain needs to be monitored. And ten days later we saw how the delta began to actively displace it ”, – noted the specialist. The same fate may await the delta strain.
