The Redmi K60 series is set to debut in China on December 27. The company has confirmed that its new flagship phone will sport a new design. Redmi has revealed that the lineup will include three premium phones.
These include Redmi K60, K60 Pro and K60e. Xiaomi has been teasing the specifications and features of the K60 series. The new teaser reveals the camera specs of the Redmi K60 Pro.
Redmi K60 series camera
As per the new teaser (via), the Redmi K60 Pro will feature the Sony IMX800 primary camera sensor. The same sensor has also been used in the Xiaomi 13 5G launched in China earlier this month. This means that the Redmi flagship smartphone will feature a 50MP Sony IMX800 primary camera sensor with f/1.8 aperture and optical image stabilization (OIS) support.
Specifications of Redmi K60 series
Xiaomi has also confirmed that the Pro phone will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC chipset. The device is also confirmed to have up to 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 512GB of UFS 4.0 storage. Furthermore, the company revealed that the K60 series will feature a 12-bit display with 2K resolution and 1400 nits of peak brightness.
The display will support 1920Hz PWM dimming, HDR10+, P3 color gamut, and Dolby Vision. We can also expect the device to support 120Hz refresh rate. All three phones are expected to feature 6.67-inch AMOLED displays.
Redmi K60 series features
The K60 5G is also confirmed to have a leather back panel. It will launch in Blue and Black colours, with the latter sporting a glass back. The K60 5G is expected to pack a 5500mAh battery and support 67W fast charging. It may also come with 30W wireless charging. The Pro model is expected to support 120W fast charging and 30W wireless charging.
The K60e will only support 67W fast charging and miss out on wireless charging support. Both the K60 Pro and K60 5G will boot Android 13-based MIUI 14 out of the box. The K60e is expected to come with Android 12-based MIUI 13 out-of-the-box.
