Truecaller Call Recording Feature: Truecaller, a popular app that identifies mobile numbers, has announced the closure of call recording service. You will no longer be able to record calls through the Truecaller app from May 11. Truecaller has taken this decision under Google’s new policy. Google has said to stop accessing the API from May 11. And all the call recording apps have been using the same API for recording.
After this action of Google, it has been said to remove the Truecaller call recording feature from its app. It has been said by Truecaller that according to the new developer program policy of Google, we will no longer be able to provide call recording facility. Truecaller says that it has introduced call recording for all Android smartphones based on the demand of the users. Call recording on Truecaller was free for all.
what is the reason
Actually, the king of the search world, Google (Google) is changing its policy. After this change, third party call recording apps will be closed. Google has said that under the new policy, app developers will not get the facility of Accessibility API for call recording. As soon as this feature is turned off, the app will not be able to do the recording work.
Under the new policy, the call recording app on the Google Play Store will become useless. You will not be able to use these apps for call recording on Android phones. Once this feature is turned off, all recording apps including Truecaller, Automatic Call Recorder, Cube ACR will not work. This policy is being implemented from May 11 this year.
Action already taken
It is not that Google is going to take such a step for the first time. Earlier also, talking about privacy and security, Google removed the call recording feature with Android 10. With Android 11 came the Accessibility API feature. Using this feature, the developers relaunched the call recording app.
These people will not stop
If your Android phone has call recording feature by default, then you can do call recording. Google says that the pre-loaded call recording app or feature does not require Accessibility API permissions. Google Pixel, Samsung, OnePlus and Xiaomi smartphones have this feature by default.
