BYD Atto 3 electric car with 480 km range is coming to India, will be launched at this price!

Chinese car manufacturing company Build Your Dreams (BYD) may introduce an electric vehicle (EV) in the Indian market sometime between October-December this year. A media report has claimed that the company will show this car during the Auto Expo 2023 to be held in Delhi in January 2023. The name of this electric car of BYD is being told as Atto 3.

Let us tell you that this electric car is already being sold in countries like Singapore, Australia and New Zealand. The report also claims that BYD will showcase the Atto 3 at the upcoming Auto Expo 2023.

The report claims that the BYD Atto 3 electric car will cost around Rs 30 lakh in India. In this price segment, this car will compete with MG ZS EV and Hyundai Kona Electric.

The Atto 3 is built on the E3 platform and is approximately 4.5 meters long. The good news is that in India, it will reportedly be assembled via the semi-knock down or SKD route, wherein the gearbox is assembled into either the chassis or the engine. In India, this car can be made at BYD’s factory in Chennai. The company has already been manufacturing its e6 MPV in this factory.

According to the report, Sanjay GopavKrisnan, Senior Vice President, India, BYD, says that the sale of this car may start early next year. Apart from this, he has also told that in the next one year after the launch of this car, the network of electric vehicles will be spread to 25 top cities of the country.

Talking about power and specifications, the BYD Atto 3 car has a 150kW power motor. This car can accelerate from 0 to 100 km / h in 7.3 seconds. Provides a range of 480 KM on a single charge.
