Shortly after the release of the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max smartphones, the waiting time for devices when ordering them on the official Apple website was about 4-5 weeks, but now it has begun to increase.
If you order the iPhone 14 Pro or iPhone 14 Pro Max on the official Apple website now, then the delivery will take 5-6 weeks. Customers receive a message that their smartphones must be delivered by January 3 next year. Just a few days ago it became known that fans will not be able to get their iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max before Christmas.
A couple of weeks ago, Apple issued a warning about a significant reduction in production capacity: “It is expected that shipments of the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max will be less than expected, and consumers may have to wait longer for the delivery of their smartphones.”
At present, Foxconn’s Zhengzhou plant, which is the world’s largest iPhone manufacturing base, has experienced difficulties due to coronavirus restrictions and staff drain.
Foxconn is expected to ship 79 million units in the current quarter, up from a previous estimate of 85 million phones, due to strict restrictions imposed at the Zhengzhou factory in recent weeks due to COVID-19.
Analysts predict that if the Foxconn plant is not fully operational before the end of the year, then the drop in iPhone shipments will be enormous.
